Ashlea’s mother, Vanessa Reilly, runs this event to honor her daughter and to donate money to Community Speaks Out. Most importantly this is a time to remember Ashlea Piela.

Vanessa stated on her event page: “Ashlea Piela lost her battle with addiction due to a fentinol overdose on July 8th 2018. She had been struggling with addiction since her early 20’s. It was heart ❤️ breaking. Every year we raise money for our home town charity to help recovery ❤️‍🩹 We want to help in Ashlea’s name. She was a caregiver to children and a CNA. She loved taking care of people and I know she would be proud of what we do every year. You can Venmo if you would like.
