How do I create a team?
Click on Regiser to Walk, register, and then check “I’d like to sign up!” Choose to create team and then enter a Team Name (including word Team after name makes it easier to find), your choice as to what you want for a name. Your page will appear and you may make changes if you want. You may add a profile picture, change the team goal, add media picture (this will replace the bridge and CSO Hub picture), and change the message, or you may keep as is.
How do I invite people to sign up on my team?
Your team page can be sent to anyone you want to invite to join. Your unique page name is BridgeWalk(-). The (-) is a number. This name is found in the header of your page. Send the texting information (in header) to whom you want to share your page.
Why is my name listed in the drop down box when i created a team name?
When you create a team, you first are registered as a fundraiser. The entrance fee and any other donations you gave while registering will show up under your name not the team. People can give to you personally and/or the team.
Is there a rain date?
No we do not have a rain date set. However we will watch the weather and will not walk if it’s too windy or rainy. We then would set another date at that time.
how long is the walk? what if i can’t finish it?
Starting at 124 North St, going across the bridge on the pedestrian sidewalk to end of bridge on New London side and then returning to 124 North St. is about 3.5 miles. If at anytime you want return to the CSO Hub, please feel free to do so. People may also have someone pick them up on the New London side.
